The pagemaps blog is having a contest to win some My Little Shoebox goodies. I've never actually used MLS, so it would be fun to win this one!

I tried to keed the colors and alphas soft so that the photo's were the main focus. Paper: Websters Pages, Cosmo Cricket Title: Slice

Bitten by the scrapbooking bug!

These beautiful new papers from Crate Paper and My Minds eye are my absoulute favorites! They mix and match seamlessly, and are just gorgeous! usually I hoard my favorite papers, afraid to cut into them. But with these I'm jumping in and having fun.

This layout I made for the Backporch Memories Guest Designer contest

Cats & Dogs

It's been SO long since I've done a scrapbook page. The lack of space in my apartment really dampers my creativity! Yes I want to create...badly. But when you have to pull everything out of a closet, then put it all back again it's not too inspiring. I like to see what I have to spark that creativity, not look at a teetering stack of boxes and drawers inside of a closet! Anyway, the urge to create out won the dread of the mess last night and I finally made a page.

I did this layout to remember the not so sweet moments of my kids at this age. They fight as much as they play! I used Crate Paper's restoration line, and My Minds Eye's Stella Rose collection. They are both so pretty and mix together beautifully.

I like using a sketch to get me started, and my favorite sketches of all come from Becky Fleck at pagemaps. I know Backporch memories always has a guest designer contest every month, and they always use pagemaps sketches, so I'm there!

The Sassy Mei Traveling Boutique Show

The show was oh-so much work to get ready for! This was my first craft show and I've certainly learned a lot from it! Getting all of the product ready wasn't near as hard as figuring out how to display everything, label it, make it look professional. But overall, I think I did ok. I don't really know how much I've sold because at this show there's a central register so I didn't actually have to ring people up. I was really lucky to have my adorable niece Tayler there to help me. And boy was she a help! She helped calm my nerves on the way there, helped me set up in lightning quick time, and to top it all off she was a savvy little salesperson!

On the way to the show.....The gps took us to the middle of a private neighborhood and in the middle of the street it says "you have arrived at your destination" uh I don't think so! So we finally found our way there with just an hour to setup.

Like I said, with Tayler's help it wasn't a problem. We got setup with time to spare!

I was really happy with how it looked.

Best. Niece. EVER! Everyone kept asking if she was my daughter.
Working the show!

Here's some of the other displays....

When it was time to pack up we were hit with a HUGE rain shower, it was C.R.A.Z.Y driving home. I hydroplaned so many times I lost track! Gotta love that Washington weather!
Overall I think it was a success. But I think it will be a while before I do another one! Thanks to everyone who came, Sassy Mei, and of course my niece Tayler!

My dream craft room

It would look something like this......

I would have prints from this fabulous etsy photographer like these ones....

And while I'm at it, my ribbon would be perfectly organized like this.....

Whats the real thing look like? Well it's not so pretty. It's somewhat organized yes, but I have to keep all of my supplies in my dining room closet. I pull everything out to create on my dining room table. Then I have to put it all away when I'm done. I can't wait to have a real dedicated space to create! A girl can dream right?

Playing with felt

I love felt! I got some adorable felt flower die cuts and I've been mixing and matching them to make headbands and hair clips. I hope to buy a die cutting machine for felt in the future, but I do want to make sure there's enough of a demand first! So this week I will be adding all sorts of felt goodness.

Isn't she the cutest little model ever?
